Josh is a mixologist, bar tender, creator, bar owner, entrepreneur, and co-founder of a hospitality, design and creative group called The Bon Vivants. With over ten years of experience shaking up exquisite cocktails, this San Francisco native has a nuanced understanding of the beverage industry. The Bon Vivants recently opened the highly anticipated bar Trick Dog in San Francisco’s Mission District and continues garnering acclaim both locally and among industry peers across the United States..

The Bon Vivants also founded a national charitable event series called Pig & Punch, which has risen over $100,000 to date and coordinated over 3000 volunteer hours of labour for charter schools in the US.

Though not a drinker himself, Josh has a huge love and appreciation for the craft of brewing and distilling liquor and is always on the lookout for new ways to make cocktails. In Okinawa, we will introduce Josh to the oldest distilled liquor in Japan, Awamori, and challenge him to make the perfect Awamori cocktail.
