Delicious macarons created by a French patissier using authentic Okinawan ingredients

Ringo Café is a French patisserie on Sesoko Island, one of the most popular resort areas of the northern part of Okinawa Island. The shop’s most famous and highly-demanded items are its macarons, of which there are an extensive range of flavors. There are numerous rare and unusual macaron varieties that make use of authentic Okinawan ingredients such as Shima Bananas (or “Island Bananas”), Awamori (the Okinawan equivalent of sake) and Sanpin-cha (Jasmine Tea). Their visual appearance is also appealingly cute, which has made them massively popular with the shop’s female customers. The café also has an eat-in space, and comes recommended as a spot to stop and relax when touring the island by car.
