The perfect marriage of awamori and island cuisine

Awanami to Shimanoaji Hateruma is a highly particular restaurant operating out of an old traditional-style house on Iriomote Island. The restaurant uses primarily ingredients produced or procured on the island itself, including homegrown vegetables and fish caught by the owner himself. The popular course dinners make excellent use of the flavor of the fresh ingredients, and the restaurant enjoys an endless stream of reservations from diners in search of their delicious and exquisite taste. Awamori lovers will also be pleased to learn that they can savor the rare and illusive “Awanami” brand of awamori produced on Hateruma Island.
