Experience Yambaru’s great outdoors at Hiji Waterfall
Hiji Waterfall boasts the highest drop of any waterfall on mainland Okinawa Island at 25.7m. Blessed with a rich volume of water, the Hiji River that leads to the waterfall itself is home to a diverse variety of plant and animal life. A man-made walking trail leads up to the waterfall, enabling visitors to enjoy a casual trek as they connect with the natural subtropical surroundings. The campsite requires campers to bring and pitch their own tents, but is fully equipped with communal restrooms, fee-paying showers and kitchen facilities for cooking, enabling campers to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay.
