Tsuboya Yachimun-dori (street), with a history spanning more than 330 years and lined with numerous workshops and potteries, is the place to go for Okinawan yachimun (pottery). Visit Ikutoen, a renowned pottery with a long history. Tableware and shiisaa (traditional ornament from Okinawan lion-dog statues), guardian gods unique to Okinawa, are popular souvenirs. Try the hands-on pottery experience with a 1-hour session: it will surely make a great memento of your travels.
